Last Saturday 15th November at the Geraldine Arts and Crafts Show, was a long but rewarding day, 6.00am start, quick breakfast, followed by a 20 minute drive, as the stand was required to be up and ready for the public by 9.00am.
Had lots of good comments and inquiries in-regards to carvings on show, and managed to sell three piece's which was very encouraging. The crowd was estimated to be about 10,000 so the organizer's were happy with the day, all-though had to hold down the gazebo a few times due to high winds, but it made the day interesting.
Just place a couple of new photos on the site, the first one on the wood-turning page, this has been my first attempt in turning a vase and carving it, with - out it blowing apart on the lathe ( carving was no problem), have carved one before, but it was turned by a expert turner, also have added another wee goldfinch in the gallery page.
Had our eldest son home for the week-end, and he has place the video of the mallard project onto You-tube, so now that I know a little more there may be more to follow, any-way enough for now, every body keep safe until next time.( Love to hear back from some of you out there in the big wide world)
Regards Ken.
